13. Spiritual Life & Guest Ministry
13.1 Spiritual Focus
Directors shape the spiritual life of camp by: Defining a clear spiritual theme and goals (see Section 2 — Mission, Values & Theology). Aligning daily spiritual practice, reflection, devotions, and activities with that theme. Ensuring inclusive language and practices that welcome a wide range of faith backgrounds and experiences.
Spiritual Practice is the time in our day when we pause to connect with each other/Spirit/community, listen deeply, align our lives with God's vision, and support one another.

13.2 Guest Ministry
Plan:
Investigate early the opportunity to have a Graceland representative attend a youth camp. Contact jill3@graceland.edu to request a rep. Plan how many guest ministers or resource people you need. The Director of Camping will support you in seeking guest ministry for the camp. Plan who will host and support them (Ambassador or Host Family).
The host:
Arranges transportation. Explains the camp schedule and expectations. Introduces them to staff and campers. Empowers with prep. Checks in daily to ensure guest ministry is supported.
